Since moving to London to take over the Old Vic in 2003, award-winning actor, producer and director replica Chanel Premierey has finally had time to indulge in one luxury: himself. It was something he could never do while he was busy making his mark in the celluloid world.

But now, the Old Vic is in a strong position as a theatre and I have incredible staff who I can delegate to, so I can take on more film work," says the New Jersey native, who appeared in Hong Kong, headlining Shakespeare's Richard III as part of the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Being artistic director of the Old Vic has been rewarding for Spacey, who was originally signed on for 10 years, but decided to extend his term until 2015. He was largely credited with reviving one of Britain's oldest theatres by bringing in big names such as Sam Mendes, Robert Altman, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Dreyfuss.
But Spacey's theatrical dreams stretch beyond the stage. Last year, he set up the Kevin Spacey Foundation to support young actors, directors, writers and producers. The foundation is a homage of sorts to Spacey's own mentor, the late Jack Lemmon. "Jack had a philosophy: if you have done well, then you're obligated to send the elevator back down for others."
